Actor. He was born in Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain. A flamenco dancer, he came to Hollywood in his teens and worked in silent films as a dancer and fight choreographer for the likes of Rudolph Valentino. He also acted and directed Spanish films and toured with his dance troupe. In 1929 Duval made his American acting debut in the Fox film "One Mad Kiss", and pursued a career as a character actor until his death. Also he served in the United States Army in World War II in North Africa. He is fondly remembered as Dr. Cuesta in the episode "The Treasure of the Incas" from "Adventures of Superman", and in films such as "Los Que Danzan" (1930), "Cascarrabias" (1930), "Flying Down to Rio" (1933), "Tres Amores" (1934), "Anthony Adverse" (1936), "Under Two Flags" (1936), "Mr. Moto in Danger Island" (1939), "El Milagro de la Calle Mayor" (1939), "Rhythm of the Rio Grande" (1940), "Down Argentine Way" (1940), "Arise, My Love" (1940), "The Razor's Edge" (1946), "The Big Steal" (1949), "The Neptune's Daughter" (1949) and "Sombrero" (1953).
