American Director, Writer and Producer. Curtis was prolific film director of the silent era, directing 278 short films between 1913 and 1922. Additionally, he wrote 23 screenplays, produced four films and acted in one, 'The Priceless Treasure' (1913). Among films he directed were 'The Star Boarder' (1914), 'Wedding Bells Shall Ring' (1915), 'Hubby Puts One Over' (1916), 'Making Monkey Business' (1917), 'The Butler's Blunder' (1918), 'Three Pair of Stockings' (1920), 'A Thousand a Week' (1921) and 'The Gay Deceiver' (1922).
