Lloyd E. Seavey, 76 of 359 Broad St. Died in Portsmouth Hospital today after a short illness.

He was born in Portsmouth Oct 6, 1895, son of Frank and Abigail Leavitt Seavey, and had been a lifelong resident of the city.

He retired fro the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 1955 as a supervisory production superintendent, after 34 years of service.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception, the Catholic Layman's Retreat Guild, the National Association of Retired Civil Employees and the AOH.

He is survived by his widow Mrs. Marion Brown Seavey; thee daughters, Mrs Mary E Hersey of Portsmouth, Mrs. Lilian L. Johnson of St. Johnsbury Vt. and Mrs. Frances A. Hoyt of Rye. A sister Mrs. Jack Fenwick of Portsmouth eight grandchildren, three great grandson's and several nieces and nephews.
