Muncie-M. Maxine Clark, 99, passed away November 29, 2015 at Liberty Village in Muncie, IN following an extended illness.
She was born December 23, 1915 in Delaware County to Ray and Lota (Patty) Hawk.
Maxine graduated from Center School in 1933 and lived most of her life in the Muncie area.
She retired from Ball Corporation after 32 years of service as a switchboard operator and in the communication department.
Maxine was a member High Street United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Circle. She also was a member of Delta Theta Chi Sororitry and the TRL club.
Maxine was a volunteer at Ball Memorial Hospital and the RSVP program.
She is survived by a niece, Jan (Sam Newman) Whealy, Losantville; nephew, Mike Rawlings, Richmond; great-nephew, Gregg (Jackie) Whealy; great-nieces, Angie (Jay) Pool, Amy (Darrick) Ballard; 2 great-great nieces, Stephaine (Adam) Kibler and Lani Ballard; 3 great-great nephews, Logan (Ashley) Pool, Gavin (Catie) Whealy, and Mason Ballard; great-great-great niece, Vivian Pool.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Edna Mae Rawlings; husband, Doyle Williams, and nephew, Edward Whealy.
The family would like to thank the staff at Liberty Village for their care and compassion.
Services will be held at the Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park Mausoleum North Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 with Charlotte Overmyer officiating. Friends may visit one-half hour prior.
Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
