OBITUARY
Patricia Elaine Smith 70, of Smiths Grove entered into rest Friday, December 4, 2015 at The Medical Center. Pat was born May 31, 1945 in Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Cordell Smith, her parents Thomas and Eleanor Overton.
Pat was a retired school teacher for over 43 years, having taught at Warren Central High School in Bowling Green and from Rutherford Co. School Systems in Tennessee.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother and especially a wonderful servant of God. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and had served at various levels of leadership within the denomination.
Survivors include her daughter Ashley Lindsey (David) of Alvaton, one sister Martha Long of Huntland, TN, Three wonderful grandchildren Tyler Lindsey and future wife Heather Hamblin, Tanner and Madison Lindsey. Sister-in-law Barbara Smith of West Nashville, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11:00 am at Bowling Green Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 807 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42104. Visitation will be Monday, 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, 820 Lovers Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42103 and Tuesday 9:00 am until time of services at the church. Burial will be Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221.
