Mrs. Willie, wife of Judge Asa Hoxie Willie, ex-congressman and ex-chief justice of the supreme court of Texas, died on yesterday afternoon at the family residence, 1501 Broadway. Her husband and five children, namely Mary P. Willie, Asa H. Willie Jr., Charles C. Willie, Walter L. Willie and Mrs. T.J. Womack of Waco, survive her.
Mrs. Willie, nee (illegible) Johnson, was a native of Bolivar, Tenn., and a daughter of Lyttleton and Mary B. Johnson. Her father died when she was an infant and her mother afterwards married William C. Harper, of Brandon, Miss. She was married October 20, 1859, to Judge Willie at Marshall, Texas, at which the family resided until 1886, when they removed to Galveston.
