Nancy A. Headrick to S. M. Wells 05 Oct 1854.

Maryville Enterprise (April 15, 1910)
Mrs. Nancy A. Wells died at the home of her son, John B. Wells, at Wellsville, on Friday, April 8, 1910 of scrofula. The funeral and burial occurred Saturday at Four Mile church. Mrs. Wells had been a patient sufferer for a number of years and her death was not unexpected. She was 73 years, 10 months and 24 days old, and was the wife of Stephen Wells who died 28 years ago. The deceased was widely known in this section of the country and numbered her friends by all who knew her. She has been a highly respected member of the Baptist church for about 60 years. Her noble Christian life is an inspiration to all who knew her and there is no question but that at this time she is enjoying the bliss and happiness of the heavenly world. Three children are left to grieve over the loss of a precious mother: A.P. Wells, Loney Wells, John B. Wells and Mrs. R.L. Belt.
In such times the waters are deep, but God's grace is sufficient and we are cheered by the thought of the reunion in that "Sweet Bye and Bye." The bereaved one have the sympathy of all. R.L. Belt
