Natalie B. Muglia age 89 of Berkley, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012. She was born November 8, 1922 in Detroit to Frank and Grace Gigliotti.
Mrs. Muglia grew up in Detroit and attended St. David’s High School. She was employed at Zenith Carburetor for twelve years. She attended nursing school at Providence Hospital where she earned her Registered Nurse’s degree. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Herman Kiefer Hospital in Detroit, Bon Secour Hospital in Grosse Pointe, and William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak retiring in the late 1980’s. Most of all she was a loving and cared wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, whom she married April 30, 1960 in Detroit; her parents; and siblings, Joe (Vicki) Gigliotti and Mary (Isadore) Iacobelli. Surviving her are children, Teresa (Robert) Rostron of Madison Heights, John Muglia of Northern Michigan, Larry (Gayle) Muglia of Ferndale, Joe Muglia of Detroit, and Jim (Laura) Muglia of Madison Heights; grandchildren, Robert Rostron Jr., Steven Rostron, Kristina Rostron, Mikki Muglia, Josh Muglia, Abbi Muglia, Rachel Muglia, Bekki Muglia, Natalie Muglia, Hannah Muglia, Lydia Muglia, Peter Muglia, Paul Muglia, Sarah Muglia, Patrick Muglia, Mary Muglia, and Thomas Muglia; and great grandson of Tristan Girard.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2-9 pm with a Scripture service at 7 pm at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 12 Mile Road (2 blocks west of Woodward) in Berkley. Mrs. Muglia will lie in state Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of Mass 10 am at National Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church, 2100 12 Mile Road (NE corner of Woodward and 12 Mile Road) in Royal Oak. Burial at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley.
