Glenda Brown Shipley, 60, Johnson City, passed away at her residence on Saturday, January 2, 2016. She was a native of Johnson City and daughter of the late William Daniel Brown Sr. and Velma Louise Chandler Brown.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellyn Brown, and her brother, Jerry Brown.

Glenda worked for Kraft Foods for 24 years before retiring due to illness. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, great aunt and a friend to all that knew her.

The beach was her favorite place to be, spending many hours looking for shells, working on the beach grass, dunes and yard, but mainly just relaxing. She also loved taking cruises; any and everywhere.

The family will hold a Gathering of Remembrance in the Sunset Room of Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services Johnson City on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Private Graveside and Committal Service will be held on a later date at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
