Formerly of Nashville and Clarksville, died August 16, 2001 at her residence in Boston, MA. Born in Cameron County, TX, 1909, she lived mostly in Tennessee.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas Carl Reeves, Jr. She is survived by her son, Tom of Boston; grandson, Kenneth and wife Stacy of Richmond, VA; one great-grandson, foster grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Reeves was a local and state officer of the United Methodist Women of Tennessee, a leader in many local Methodist congregations, including Dalewood Nashville), Donelson Heights and Bethel (Clarksville). She worked for racial and social justice and for the rights of women.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Church, Clarksville, 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 with burial of ashes the same day at 3 p.m., at Springhill Cemetery, Nashville.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, 3180 Ft. Campbell Blvd, Clarksville, TN 37042. CREMATION SOCIETY OF MASSACHUSETTS,(800) 696-5887.
