Rev Dr. Dennis Basil Dorsay, Sr. was the son of Dennis and Terisha (Elder) Dorsey. He was the husband of Frances (Purdue) Dorsey. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Baltimore Conference 1820 - see Journal of 1828, pgs. 328- - Expelled Wednesday afternoon May 14, 1828
