DR. HARRY MARTYA ACHESON

Dr. Harry Martya Acheson, who died yesterday morning at St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh, was a widely known physician of Washington county.

He was born in the old Acheson residence here in 1857 and was a son of the late Judge Alexander Wilson Acheson.

He graduated from Washington College in 1877 and from the medical department of the University of Pennsylvania in 1880. For four years he practiced medicine in Pittsburgh and
later went to Denison, Tex., returning to Washington in 1886. He was one of the organizers of the Washington board of health and its president for many years.
He had served several terms as resident of the Washington County Medical Society and there Washington Academy of Medicine.

He never married. His only surviving brothers are former Congressman, Ernest F. Acheson, of Washington, and Dr. A.W.
Acheson, of Denison, Tex.
