Lulu Geraldine (Thomas) Johnson, 97, of Farnam, died Jan. 23, 2016, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.
Geraldine was born on Aug. 24, 1918, in Duncan, the daughter of Walter and Susan (Cox) Thomas. She attended school in Duncan and graduated from high school in Odessa.
On July 7, 1936, she married Wesley Knapp, and to this union four children were born. They later divorced. Geraldine married Irvin C. Johnson on Dec. 27, 1978, in Sterling, Colorado.
She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, gardening and ceramics.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin; her parents; two brothers, William and Aulden Thomas; sister, Betty; son, Ted Eugene Knapp; stepson, Merle Johnson; and stepdaughter, Roberta.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Dale Knapp, of Fort Morgan, Colorado; two daughters, Kathleen (Knapp) Widick, of Farnam, and Janet (Knapp) Linville, of Orchard, Colorado; stepson, Wayne Johnson, of Kearney; stepdaughters, Jannette (Johnson) Evans, of Minatare, and Rojean (Johnson) Gutherless, of North Platte; 15 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Farnam United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Farnam Cemetery. Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg is in charge of the arrangements.
