Mr. Earl Lady, 82, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016, at his residence.

Earl was a native of Greene County who had lived most his life in Johnson City. He was the son of the late David and Cora Lady.

Earl was a 1952 graduate of Science Hill High School, where he had played football. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at Klopman Mills for forty plus years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-seven years, Betty Bernice Lady; daughter, Sandra Kay Stout; brothers, Arthur, Jack, David Dee, Buck, Theodore, Charlie, and Orville Lady; and sisters, Verdie Lady, Gladys Light, Tommie Tyree, Gertrude Lady, and Nanny Lady;

He is survived by his son, David Lady, and granddaughter, Paisly Cadence Lady.

The family of Mr. Earl Lady will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2016, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Lenny Smith officiating. An entombment service will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday, in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 9:30 AM Wednesday, to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Suite 102, Johnson City TN 37601.
