Ignatius Donnelly Is Dead At St. Paul

Dr. Ignatius Donnelly, for many years one of the most prominent physicians in Butte, and for some time county physician of Silver Bow county, died in St. Paul on Saturday. He was buried yesterday under the auspices of the Knights of Columbus, of which order he was one of the early members in Butte. Bright's disease was the cause of death. Dr. Donnelly was 52 years old.

For the ten years or more that Mr. Donnelly lived in Butte and practiced his profession, there was none that stood higher among the physicians and surgeons. He was accounted one of the best on eye and ear troubles in the Northwest. The altitude, however, affected his health and he returned to St. Paul, whence he had some to Butte several years before.

The news of his death will be received with sincere regret by the many people who knew him while in Butte. He was one of the most genial companions and best educated men in the business, as well as one of the most conscientious in his dealings.

He was the son of the famous Ignatius Donnelly, the author of "Atlantis" and other works that showed deep scientific study. He married Miss Marie "May" Kimball about ten years ago and they had two children, one of whom, Ignatius Donnelly III, survives. Mrs. Donnelly died in Butte about five years ago.
