MARION: Norma J. Orr age 81, of Marion, Ohio went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2012 following an extended illness. Norma was born October 16, 1930.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Audry and Wayne Beery;and her father, Ivan Higly; and a sister.
She is survived by her loving Husband of 55 years, Jack E. Orr, whom she married on June 26, 1957; a daughter, Diana (Daniel) Smith of Marion; one brother, Gary (Carmen) Beery of Maumee, Ohio;and two nieces;
She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Tracy (Matt) Johnson of Marion, Kristy (Chris) Raby of Bucyrus, Dane Smith of Marion, and Brandi Smith of Marion;and four great grandchildren.
Norma worked at Whirlpool Corporation for 31 years as a secretary. She was a member of Peace Community United Church of Christ in Waldo and was also involved in several community organizations.
Funeral services for Norma will be held Monday, October 8, 2012 (10:30 AM) at Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Fetter officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Community United Church of Christ, 4601 State Rt. 98 South, Waldo, Ohio 43356 or Marion Area Humane Society, 2264 Richland Rd., Marion, Ohio 43302.
