Funeral services for Lyman Wolcott, pioneer resident of Sedalia who died at the home of Mrs. Dollie Upton, 412 East Second street, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at McLaughlin's Funeral Chapel. Rev. J. W. Coontz, pastor of the First M. E. Church, will officiate.

The songs, "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown" will be sung by members of the church choir. Pallbearers will be: T. A. Major, C. C. Williams, C. H. Williams, J. K. Jones, T. M. Stevens and A. McKissick.

Mr. Wolcott was well known and Mrs. Upton took care of him during his illness. While Mr. Wolcott was a Methodist in faith he had united with no church in Sedalia, but lived a true Christian life.

He is survived by two brothers and one sister, Wallace T. Wolcott, Monroe, Ia., Mrs. Belle P. Baggs, Sebastepol, Calif., Leeman Wolcott of Santa Rosa, Calif. The latter wiring the money here to give him a Christian burial. The deceased was loved by those who knew him for his kindly good nature. - Sedalia Democrat - Tuesday, November 16, 1916 pg.12
