Leonard Gordon Smith, 75, passed away February 12, 2016 at his home in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
He was born April 5, 1940 in Alexandria, VA the youngest of 13 to the late James Fred and Thelma Wrenn Smith.
He was predeceased by nine of his siblings.
Mr. Smith, a United States Air Force Veteran proudly served his country and was a devoted family man. He was an avid international hunter and enjoyed both fishing and golfing. He never missed an opportunity to tell a good story, how much of the story he embellished we will let you decide.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Walker-Smith; son, Charles Andrew Smith (Yana); grandson Maddix Yuri Smith all of North Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Rebecca Aline Fisher (Chuck) of Haymarket, VA; three sisters, Nancy S. O'Nan (Jim) of FL, Louise S. Mauck of VA and Betty S. Beach (Willie) of NC and our adopted son, Jimmy Wilson.
The family of Leonard Smith would like to thank Gail Livingston and Pansy Geoff for their wonderful care and help to his family.
A memorial celebration of life will be 11:00 AM Friday February 19, 2016 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home with Dr. J. Kirk Lawton, Jr. officiating.
The family will greet friends from 10:00-10:50 AM on Friday prior to the service.
An inurnment service will be held 8 June 2016 at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice 2411 North Oak Street, Ste # 108, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or the Special Operation Wounded Warrior (SOWW) 820-67th Ave. N. # 7508, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
