HUSBAND KENNETH EARL STOUGH OBIT

Kenneth Earl Stough, formerly of Spencer, went home to Heaven on May 15, 2012. He was born to Charles H. and Jennie Mae Ikemire Stough on July 13, 1922 in Carbon, Indiana, was raised in Brazil, Indiana and Terre Haute, and was living in Dade City, Florida at the time of his death.

Mr. Stough was a longtime member of Spencer Church of the Nazarene, as well as the Piano Technician’s Guild, and retired from Alison’s Division of General Motors in 1981. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, stationed in France and England. He had a gift and passion for music, having played guitar seriously since his youth, in the Army as well as in church, in a local country band, and to the great delight of many area residents. He also participated in a nearby horseshoe league, was a talented carpenter and woodworker, and traveled around the United States and Canada. Preeminent in his life, however, was his love for Jesus Christ and living his life to His glory.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings; two young children, Harold and Carol; Stella Stough, his wife of 52 years; and Elva Westerfield Waddle Stough.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Stough, of Dade City, Florida; and four children: Patricia Young (Ted) of Wilmington, Ohio; Daniel Stough (Kitty) of Antioch, California; Gwen Baggett, of Clinton, Indiana; and Joyce Coleman (Randy) of Gallatin, Tennessee. He also had seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to a memorial service for Kenny at the Spencer Nazarene Church on Saturday, May 26, at 1:00 p.m., followed by informal visitation.

If desired, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Spencer Church of the Nazarene or the charity of one’s choice.
