Mrs. Adolph Gewecke, Ohiowa Native, Dies at Farnam
Anna Louise Warnke Gewecke passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oliver Brown, in Sutherland, Neb., Friday, May 16, 1958. Mrs. Gewecke was 83 years, 6 months and 21 days of age.

She was born October 23, 1874, at Ohiowa, Neb. Her parents were Fred and Reka Warneke. She grew to young womanhood in the Ohiowa community. April 6, 1899, at Geneva, she was united in marriage to Adolph Gewecke. To this union was born two sons and two daughters.

The Geweckes farmed in Lincoln county for 17 years and had lived in Farnam, Neb., 33 years. For the past two months Mrs. Gewecke had been living with her daughter in Sutherland. She was a member of the Nazarene church of Farnam.

Surviving are her husband, Adoph, two sons, Edgar of Gothenburg and Kenneth of Sutherland, two daughters, Rev. Verneeda Brown and Fay Gewecke, both of Sutherland, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, also two brothers, Dan Warnke of Belvidere, and William Warnke of Texas, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Peppie and Mrs. Lena Fricke, both of Ohiowa, and a host of friends and other relatives.

Her parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. Gewecke was noted for her fine Christian character and even in her last suffering days her thoughts were always of others. She was a kind and loving mother. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, May 19, at the Church of the Nazarene in Farnam. Rev. Albert Lundy, pastor of the church officiated.

Rev. David Banks and Mrs. Elsie Davis sang "Does Jesus Care," "Meet Me There" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Doris Smith was the pianist. Pallbearers were Harold Lehman, Charles Pollard, Lee Hudson, Clarence Oberg, Ralph Jurgens and Jay Rice. Interment was in the Farnam cemetery.
