Mrs. Barbara Alice Huffman, aged 74 years, 11 months and 18 days, widow of Frank Huffman, died suddenly at her home in Jefferson at 4:40 p.m. yesterday, Dec. 30, 1940, just a few hours after her son, George Huffman, was buried. She became ill on Sunday and was unable to attend her son's funeral.
A daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Cumberledge Henderson, the deceased was born July 16, 1886, in Greene County, in which she spent all her life. She had lived in Jefferson for the past 19 years and was a member of the Phillips Methodist Church, Wayne Township.
Survivors include one son, Harry, of Jefferson, and three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Stewart, Landeer, Montana; Mrs. Grace Chisler, Jefferson, and Mrs. Nellie McNeely, Jefferson, R. D.
