OBITUARY
Vincent "Vint" Blaker, 95, of Waynesburg, RD 2, died at 8:30 AM Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1971. Although not in the best of health he had been seriously ill only for the past two weeks. He was born Sept. 13, 1875, in Cumberland Township near Fordyce, a son of Eaton and Elsie Smith Blaker. His wife, Josie Blaker, whom he married Feb. 23, 1900, survives. Mr. Blaker had lived all his life on the farm where he was born. He was a retired farmer and stock raiser. Mr. Blaker was a member of the Fordyce United Methodist Church. He was the last of his family. Surviving in addition to his wife, Josie Blaker; are two daughters; Mrs. Wayne (Helen) Patterson, of Jefferson, and Mrs. Ralph (Wretha) Martin, of Waynesburg, RD 1; one son, Paul C. Blaker, of Waynesburg, RD 4; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. One son, Ruby, one daughter, Gayle, two sisters and five brothers are deceased. Funeral services were held Saturday with burial in Garards Fort Cemetery.
