Son of Isaac and Sarah Haddocks, born in the old Ninety-Six District of South Carolina. His father was taken prisoner by the British during the Siege of Charleston (1779-1780) and died in captivity. His mother later received 200 acres from the state in 1784 and later deeded it to her eldest son, Moses, in 1793 just prior to her death. Robert Haddox had two other brothers, William and Elijah, and possibly sisters.

Gravesite Details

According to a statement made by in a bounty land grant application for his minor heir, Robert Haddox and wife were buried one quarter of a mile from Union Church in Wilcox County. Their burial place is presumably on the land owned by Robert Haddox.
