Norman Paul Hackney, 90, of Kingwood, died Monday, March 14, 2016 at Pine Ridge Nursing Center. He was born May 1, 1925 a son of the late Reay D. Hackney and Bertha Olive Smith Hackney. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School and served in the US Army in WWII as a Medic. He was a Methodist by faith. Norman is survived by a brother, Billy Reay Hackney of Morgantown, a sister and spouse, Lilian Hackney Hart Kesler and Edwin Kesler, of Alexandria , VA, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Marie Algauer and a sister in law, Betty Poling Hackney. Friends could have called Dering-Henson Funeral Home, Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Funeral services were 1:00 pm Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David White officiating. Burial followed in the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. Donations were suggested to a Charity of Choice. Condolences were online to dering-henson.com.
