RALEIGH, N.C. - Katherine M. Pedneau Reid of Raleigh, formerly of Princeton, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Born in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Wilson S. and Helen Dickenson Mahood. She retired in Raleigh in 1973 where she was a science teacher at the junior high and high school levels. She was a graduate of Princeton High School and Concord College. She was a member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard L. Pedneau; her second husband, Nolan G. Reid, and one infant son. Survivors include: one son, Mike Pedneau and his wife, Betsey of Raleigh; two grandsons, Josh and Max Pedneau, both of Raleigh; one sister, Ms. Scott (Beth) Lilly of Princeton; two nieces, Mrs. Tish Coleman and her husband, Ronald and Ms. Karen Lilly, all of Princeton; numerous other nieces, grand-nieces and grandnephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton with Rev. Clifford Schell officiating. Friends may call at the George W. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
