"H. K. Pearson, only child of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Pearson, died at the home of the parents in Cherry Valley on Saturday evening. He had been confined to his bed for one week, but had been troubled for some years with heart difficulty. Mr. Pearson was born in Cherry Valley in 1888. When about twenty years of age he graduated from the Albany Business college and was afterwards employed in the New York State National bank of Albany. Eleven years ago he married Miss Edith Hiller of Albany and they came to Cherry Valley to reside. Mr. Pearson entered the business of gents' furnishing goods and clothing, but on account of his health he sold out his business. For the past five years he managed the Star theatre and attended it on Saturday evening before being taken ill. Mr. Pearson was a congenial, pleasant man and had many friends. He was a member of the Masonic and I. O. O. F. societies; also a member of the Cherry Valley orchestra. The sympathy of the entire community goes to his bereaved parents and widow. The funeral services were held at his parents' home Monday afternoon and was conducted by the Masons. Interment in Cherry Valley cemetery."
