Robert "Bob" Aaron Mills
August 20, 1938 - March 27, 2016

Robert Aaron “Bob” Mills, 77, of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Mills was a native of Johnson City. He was the son of the late Jesse Aaron Mills and Mamie Cox Mills.

Mr. Mills was the Director of the Washington County Cannery and had worked for many years with HVAC systems.

Bob was a Christian. He was a Mason and a member of Rhea Lodge #47. He was also a member of the Knoxville Scottish Rite, where he was a recipient of the KCCH award. He and his son, Rob, were the first father and son to ever receive the award at the same time in Knoxville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of this life and wife of 38 years, Doris Godsey-Mills.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Mills and Rob Mills and his wife Louann; and one sister, Sally Kalan, of Lancaster, OH.

The family of Mr. Robert Mills will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm Tuesday under the direction of Pastor Bryant Collins. Masonic Rites will be performed by Rhea Lodge #47. A committal service is scheduled for 10 am Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be: Carl Daniels, Dr. Brian Way, James Powell, and Bobby Richards. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery for the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Knoxville Scottish Rite Mercy Fund, PO Box 708, Knoxville, TN 37901.
