Mrs. Molly Louise Lee, age 75 of West Maple Ave in Kingsland, Ga. passed away at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside in Jacksonville, Fl. on Tuesday, March 29th, 2016.
Mrs. Lee was born on August 25th, 1940 in Odum, Ga. She is the daughter of the late Walter & Ada Morris McGauley.
Molly Louise Lee was a very special woman to us all. She will most famously be remembered for her love for 7Up, hot dogs, and hamburgers. She enjoyed watching Lifetime chick flicks, westerns, including Bonanza and The Rifleman, and mystery shows, including Matlock and In the Heat of the Night. In recent years, she spent time with her grandkids watching episodes of Man versus Food and many other reality series. Molly Louise’s most favorite televised ministries included Joel Olsteen, Jesse Duplantis, and John Hagee; she faithfully watched them over the last couple of years.
In her younger years, Molly Louise Lee worked in the restaurant business waitressing and managing restaurants across many states. She worked hard, married the love of her life, Bobby Burkhalter, and had 5 children. Always excited for a new adventure, the family took many vacations. One of the most memorable trips was to see the breathtaking, snowcapped mountains in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Molly and her sister, Vonnie also took every opportunity to travel with their children on many outings to the beaches along the East coast and different places across Florida, where they would sit for hours by the water, spend quality time picnicking, and share stories with each other. As her children grew up, Molly Louise was meticulous in keeping up with them, she knew their work schedules, days off, and lived vicariously through Facebook updates of their weekend plans. Her memory was one of great detail, she remembered birthdays and her life stories were like reading a book. She never missed the smallest of details, and could captivate her audience’s attention for hours.
In her later years, Molly was excited to vacation with grandkids and great grandkids in Hollywood, California. She had the opportunity to walk down Hollywood Blvd over the Walk of Fame and find many of her favorite stars throughout the years. She spent time on the beach enjoying the Pacific Ocean breeze and was amazed by beauty of the sunset on the West coast. During her final days, Molly was very happy; her smile seemed to be painted on her face, she was overjoyed by the constant visits and time she had with all of her family members who loved her tremendously and were by her side throughout her journey to heaven. We will miss talking to her about anything, how she moved her dainty hands when she talked, how her perfume filled the air and lingered like an eternal hug, and her soft, sweet kisses. Her smile will never be forgotten, her precious memories never fading, she will live forever in our hearts. Molly Louise Lee’s journey through this world has ended. She is home in heaven so happy and bright, where perfect joy and beauty is everlasting and bright.

A visitation will be held in the Woods-Wainwright Chapel in Coastal Camden Funeral Home from 12 to 1 PM Friday, April 1st, 2016 with the service to follow there with Reverend Riccardo Arreola presiding. The pallbearers are Arthur August, John August, Elki Oller, Brian Buchner, Samuel Buchner and Al Black. Interment and committal prayers will follow at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga.
