John Frank Cumpston, 75, of Cameron R.D. 3, W. Va., died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 1985, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, W. Va.

He was born March 26, 1910, in Greene County, son of the late John and Nora Poland Cumpston. His wife, Geneva Buzzard Cumpston, is deceased.

Mr. Cumpston was a retired employee of Columbia Gas Company and was a Protestant.

Surviving are a daughter, Sue Maher of Ashland, Ohio; two sons, Terry and Richard Cumpston, both of Cameron; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild, and two sisters, Nelle Gitting of Moundsville, W. Va., and Mayme Leichter of Youngstown, Ohio.

A son, Tommy, is deceased.
