Barbara Ann Dressell Melton, age 68, of Palestine, Texas died October 6, 2006 in Greenbrier Nursing Home in Palestine. Burial at Roselawn Park Cemetery in Palestine was under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. She was born July 17, 1938 in Anderson County to Tony Dressell and Verna Huggins Dressell. Mrs. Melton was a Catholic. For more than 10 years she was co-owner of the former local Heck's Drive-in. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert J. Melton, who died in September of the same year; and a brother, Paul Dressell. She was survived by daughters, Angelia Melton, Toni Melton, and Debbie Stewart and husband Tommy; sister, Joella Hackett; brothers, Tony Dressell, and Donald Dressell; and grandchildren, Colt and Cheyenne Handorf.
