Wilma had a varied working career from a transcriptionist at Western Union during W.W. II, the State of Oklahoma in records, with her husband Silas in the Dental Lib Field and most importantly, homemaker and mom. Wilma was a devout Christian lady and instilled those values in her children. She attended Capital Hill Church of God for many years serving as a teacher and choir member and faithful preachers wife to the churches her husband pastored.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Silas Groves in December of 2014, her parents and all of her siblings. She was the final chapter in her family legacy from the greatest generation. She is survived by her children; John and wife Jan Groves, Lynda Groves and Bill Groves; grandchildren, Scott Groves and wife Amy, Mark Groves and wife Katie, Jennifer Gibson and husband Tim, Shelby Harris and wife Teresa, Bryan Harris and Alisha Pretzer and husband Kyle and Philicia Groves-King; great grandchildren Landon Groves, Caden Harris, Ian Harris, Makalyn Pretzer, Addisyn Pretzer, Gage Gibson, Garrett Gibson and Lynnleigh Groves; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Kerns and the second floor nursing staff at Mercy Heart Hospital and Crossroads Hospice.
The family will be here to greet visitors from 6-8 PM Thursday, April 7, 2016. Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12:00 PM. Services are under the direction of the John Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, Ok.
