Richard "Dick" Bruno BIRD (1910-1979) was the son of Thomas Jefferson BIRD (1861-1931) and Drusilla GAY (1868-1948).

Dick was born on November 24, 1910, in Seminole County, Oklahoma.

In 1941, He joined the US Army. On April 17 1944. He transferred to the U.S. Army Air Corps and retired from the U.S. Air Force.

Dick died on September 21, 1979 in the Old Solders Home, Washington, District of Columbia, at age 68.

He was buried with military honors, on September 26, 1979, at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington County, Virginia.
