When Dela Mae Adams was born on January 7, 1915, in Oklahoma, her father, Joseph Leonidus "Mose" Adams 1873–1943, was 41 and her mother, Caroline Susanne "Suzie" Poole 1889–1949, was 25. She married Ishmael Worth Tumbleson 1908–1973 and they had one son together (Richard Tumbleson). She then had one daughter with Joseph Adams 1917-UNK (Francis Adams). She then married her 3rd husband Joseph J Libby 1902–1981.
She died on July 19, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 60, and was buried there.

Mrs. Della Mae 'Deb (Adams), Libby, 60, of 413 Waverly Dr., died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was born in Sentinel, Washita, OK, USA, and had been a resident of Corpus Christi, TX. for the past 39 years. She was widowed by her spouse Ishmael Worth Tumbleson 1908–1973.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Seaside Memorial Park Chapel with the Re. R.B. Lear, Pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Seaside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband Joe Libby; three sisters, Mrs. Geneva Martha 'Gee' (Adams), Shockey of Indiana, Mrs. Frances Marion 'Frankie' (Adams), Evans of Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. Wanda Jane (Adams), Bilsend of California; one son, Richard Curtis Tumbleson (wife Edna Day), of Columbia, South Carolina, two brothers, Carl Richard 'Red' Adams and LeRoy Adams both of California.
