Yorktown - Linda (Maddux) Orewiler, 63, passed away Wednesday morning, April 13, 2016, at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Linda was born August 20, 1952 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Robert and Roberta (Jenkins) Maddux.

She graduated from Gallup High School in Gallup, New Mexico and went on to earn her Bachelor's in Education from Ball State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Linda retired from G.F.T. Christian School where she was a teacher for many years. Linda attended the Bridge Community Church in Muncie. She enjoyed art, making jewelry, and reading. She most enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Mark Daniel Orewiler; four children, Benjamin Daniel Orewiler (wife, Jasmine) of Virginia Beach, VA, Erin Lorraine Bole (husband, Gregory) of Kansas City, MO, Rebekah Ruth Jacks (husband, Patrick) of Yorktown, and Alison Roberta Orewiler (boyfriend, Eddie Brown) of Redding, CA; two sisters, Darlene Osborne (husband, Michael) of Gaston and Julie Fields (husband, Sam) of Muncie; four grandchildren, Aubrey Shon Orewiler, Maddux Daniel Orewiler, Hudson Benaiah Orewiler, and Iris Fae Jacks; three step-sisters, Kati Buck of Muncie, Rita Liming of Muncie, and Sherry Williams of Tulsa, OK; several nieces, and nephews and step-nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by brother, Kevin Robert Maddux and her step-mother, Susan Coulson.

A funeral service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St., Yorktown, IN. Pastor Josh Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel.
