Mrs. William P. Lytle
Mary Berger was born in Henry county, Indiana, February 27, 1850, and was the fifth child in a family of ten children of Darius and Elizabeth White Berger.
She moved with her parents to Indianola, Iowa in October, 1850, at which place she grew to womanhood, and in 1870 moved to Humboldt, Kans., with her brother, Dr. John Berger.
She was united in marriage to William P. Lytle, January 17, 1872, and in 1884 they moved to Toronto, Kans., where they lived until October, 1919, when they returned to Humboldt, to the home where she passed away at 2 o'clock, Saturday afternoon, March 25, 1922.
Mrs. Lytle united with the United Brethren church in 1876 and has lived a faithful Christian life.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and one sister, Mrs. James Wilson, of this city, and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.E. Satterlee at the home on Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in DeWitt cemetery.
Out-of-town relatives and friends for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Samuel C. Musgrave, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. F.E. McMillan, Douglas, Kans.; Mr. and Mrs. George Huff and daughter, Merle; Mr. and Mrs. Luther Klick, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Redfern, Mrs. Gus Ireland, Mr. Guy Singleton and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Singleton, all of Toronto, Kans.
