Franklin Henry Eastabrooks, 69, of Hampton died Wednesday, April 19, 1995, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 24, at Hampton United Methodist church, with the rev. Sam Hahn officiating. Burial was in Hampton Cemetery. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Oct. 28, 1925, in Litchfield, the son of Vernon and Maebelle (Schulz) Eastabrooks. He attended Litchfield High School and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where he received his bachelors degree. He received a master's degree from the University of Iowa. He served in the Naval Air force during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He married Erla McClure on April 2, 1950, in Lincoln. He worked in agricultural sales He was a member of Hampton United Methodist Church. He belonged to the Hampton Masonic Lodge and was active in the American Red Cross.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Lynne Porter of Geneva, Diane Fink of Santa Ana, Calif., and Julie Holmberg of Waverly; his mother of Litchfield; two sisters, Willa Unick of Pleasanton, and Sally Collier of Eufaula, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
