William and Katherine had two children: Son-Albert and a Daughter-Catherine.
After his wifes death and before his death his daughter Catherine was sent to St. Elizabeths Infant Hospital and she stayed there becoming a Sister of Charity. I have been unable to find a death or burial for her and in the last census record they spelled her name Cavanugh.
Albert has been difficult to track as well but I suspect he is buried in the Holy Cross Cemetery MEMORIAL ID 105021130. I have no solid proof it is him. But in his photo he certainly looks like William.

He committed suicide by drowning himself in the Feather River.
