Charles was the eldest child of the late Frank M De Prisco and Elsie May (Heisler) De Prisco of Wilmington.

His paternal grandparents were Angelo DePrisco and Margaret (Baroni) DePrisco, both immigrants from Avellino Italy. His maternal grandparents were John Heisler, and Mary Jane (Peterson) Heisler.

He was the beloved brother of Alfred D. De Prisco, Margaret (DePrisco) Evans, Frank M. De Prisco, Catherine, John C DePrisco, and Leonard P De Prisco.

Newt was the devoted husband of Betty (Elizabeth Godwin) DePrisco, and a loving father to: Charlotte, Charles N "Sonny" DePrisco, James DePrisco, Elsie, Grace, Nancy, Dorothy, Betty, and Linda. And Grandfather to many adoring grandchildren.

Betty died in December 1974, and is buried beside her husband.

Uncle Newt was my Dad's oldest brother. I remember he, Aunt Betty and all their children as such a wonderful family. They always made us feel right at home whenever we visited, or when we would all get together at family reunions.
