She was born on July 7, 1917 to late Levi Edgar and Lavina Ellen (Bleile) Pippenger in Albion, Indiana. She was a member of the First Brethren Church in Columbus, Ohio. Carrie was very active in church activities, and was a Sunday School Teacher in Ohio. She was a very loving individual, especially with her family.
Carrie was the youngest of nine children, and was the last surviving child. She sold Avon for thirty-two years and would walk her route, retiring after age 78.
Carrie is survived by a loving family consisting of her two daughters and four grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband of 57 years, Ora Seiss Jr; brothers, Howard, Leo and Nathan; and sisters, Flossie Holderman, Daisy Haney, Ada Flory, Bessie Gordon and Polly Miller.
