Charles E. Delauter, 94, well known resident of Wolfsville, died Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Milton W. Harne, Wolfsville, after a short illness. Born near Wolfsville, he was the son of the late Joshua and Rebecca (Harmon) Delauter. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wolfsville. A carpenter by trade, he retired a number of years ago and had been residing with his daughter for 18 years. Surviving are his widow, Linnie M. Hoover Delauter, with whom he celebrated his 70th wedding anniversary last year, sons, Earl C., Hagerstown; Elmer J., near Myersville; Jacob E., Smithsburg; Oscar J., Wolfsville; Cecil B., Waynesboro; Roy W., Cavetown; daughters, Mrs. Marjorie M. Martin, Smithsburg R. D. 1; Mrs. Mary E. Kline and Mrs. Catherine I. Harne, both of Wolfsville; Mrs. Ruth R. Flook, near Myersville.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Bittle Funeral Home, Myersville, with the Rev. John W. Schildt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bittle Funeral Home, Myersville.
