John was the son of Valentine Snyder and Frances Luiethart. At some point he married his first wife, Bettie, and then had one son, John. Later he married his second wife, Lillian. John was a retired driver for the Louisville Transit Company for whom he worked for 32 years. John died at his home, 829 Franklin Street, at the age of 69.
