Actor. Best remembered for playing 'Pharaoh' in "The Mummy" film series which starred Brendan Fraser. He moved with his family to Israel during his early youth and following military service, he chose to pursue a career in acting. He studied Theater in London and began his professional career on stage followed by British television during the late 1960s. His break in motion pictures was when he was cast as 'Sheftel' in "Fiddler on the Roof" (1971). After this, he became a regular presence on American television in such programs as "Kojak," "Police Woman," "Hawaii Five-0," "Murder, She Wrote" and "Law and Order." He died from cancer.
