Mrs. Lydia Phillips, widow of Richard Phillips, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Asa Kuhn, on Bowlby street, Thursday, February 25, aged 79 years, of paralysis. She had been ill since Christmas. Mrs. Phillips was a daughter of William and Lettie Cole King, deceased, and was born in Wayne township, November 28, 1846, where she resided until she removed to Waynesburg in 1899. She was a life long member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Her husband died November 14, 1924. She is survived by the following children: William Phillips, Deer Lick; Mrs. Mary Kuhn, Kuhntown; Mrs. Asa Kuhn, Waynesburg; Mrs. Charles Speedy, Warren, O.; and Mrs. Clarence Correll, Detroit. One brother, William F. King, and two sisters, Misses Elizabeth and Delilah King, all of Waynesburg, also survive.
