Author. She will be remembered for penning the bestselling Romance novel "Destiny" (1987). She attended Redland High School for Girls and was later educated at Girton College in Cambridge, where she received a Master of Arts in English Literature. After marrying, she moved to the United States and later initiated her career as a journalist with New York Magazine. In 1970, she was the recipient of the Catherine Pakenham Award for Journalism and became the youngest editor of Queen Magazine. She wrote her first book "The Royal Shakespeare Company's Centenary Production of Henry V" (1976). In addition to "Destiny", she penned the novels "Dark Angel" (1990), "Lovers and Liars" (1994) and "Rebecca's Tale" (2001). Her second husband was actor Alan Howard.
