Phillip “Bo” S. Rock passed away on July 18, 2016 after a period of failing health. He was 88. He was a longtime resident of Paget Road in Cornish, NH. He was born on the family farm in Wheelock, VT on July 20, 1927. His parents were John P. Rock and Sarah G. (Randall) Rock.

“Bo” served 3 years in the Army during the Korean Conflict, in the 380 AAA Gun Battalion. He was awarded 5 Bronze Stars and a Distinguished Unit Citation along with a Purple Heart. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 22 in White River Junction, VT.

He worked for many years as a self-employed carpenter as well as for various contractors.

He married Pauline “Polly” Blaine in Brownsville, VT in October 1952.

He is survived by his sister, Phyllis McKenney of Claremont; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline; brothers, Cedric Rock, Russell Rock, John Rock and sisters, Margaret (Duval) Mace and Charlotte Brooks.

A graveside service will be held at the Edminster Cemetery in Cornish.
