Edith Eva Staudt, a retired school teacher, died Monday at 6 a.m. in the Evangelical Congregation Church, Retirement Village, Myerstown, where she had resided one year.
Staudt, 94, formerly of 600 Bellevue Ave., Laureldale, had retired after 45 years as a teacher in Lower Heidelberg Township and in the Muhlenberg Township School District.
Born in Lower Heidelberg Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles K. and Eva E. (Bender) Staudt.
She was a member of St. John's (Hain's) United Church of Christ, Wernersville.
Active in Girl Scout activities she was the recipient of the Gube Award.
She studied two years at the former Kutztown State Normal School, now Kutztown University; two years at Ursinus College, Collegeville; and two years at Columbia University, New York City.
Surviving are two sisters, Thelma Brown, Auburn N.Y., and Alberta Lamm, also a resident at ECC Retirement Village, Myerstown; and two brothers, Elwood B. Staudt, Hamburg, and Kermit B. Staudt, Sinking Spring.
Memorial services will be Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. in St. John's (Hain's) UCC, Wernersville. Cremation Care, Hamburg, is in charge of arrangements.
