Served as a Captain in the Revolutionary War, fought with Wolf and Montgomery's troops in the Capture of Quebec. During the war promoted to the rank of Major.




2nd Lieutenant of Nicholson's Continental Regiment, March to November 1776, 2nd Lieutenant Continental Artillery 1st January 1777. 1st Lieutenant 12th September 1778 Regimental Paymaster. 1st September 1779 Captain, Lieutenant , 21st August 1780. Retired 3rd June 1783. Honorably discharged, 1st June 1802..


Moved to Mississippi some time around 1797..
