Phyllis Ann (Bishop) Purcer went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2016. She was born to Theo and Thelma Bishop in Roswell, NM on July 22, 1949. Phyllis attended 21 different public schools while her father worked in numerous states as a geophysicist for Mobil Oil. She learned to quickly establish new friends wherever she was and established lasting friendships. Phyllis graduated from Putnam City High School (original) in 1967 and Paul's Beauty College. She was a hairdresser for 20 years, then pursued another career. Phyllis graduated Cum Laude from Rose State College in 1987 with an associate's degree in radiologic sciences. She was employed by Integris Baptist Medical Center for 25 years performing various modalities of radiologic exams until retirement in 2012. Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Bishop; and nephew, Wade Silvey. She is survived by her husband, David; sister, Carol Williams, and niece, Amy Larvin, Weatherford, TX; and numerous great-nieces. Also surviving is her extended family of 16 years, the King family, Jim & Jennifer, Sophie, Aaron, and Ethan; and numerous individuals she touched by giving of herself to charitable missions in India and Honduras, SA. A celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel at the Crossings Community Church on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 10 a.m. at 14600 N. Portland Ave., Oklahoma City. Memorial donations may be made to Crossings Community Church-Missions Ministry.
