William Leroy Bast, 64, husband of Joyce Ann Bast, died at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late William Jennings Bryan Bast and Bessie Opal Smith and was a self employed Drywaller for Bast Drywall. He loved classic cars, listening to music, camping, boating, stock car racing, and spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, Leroy is survived by his daughter Tammy Behn of Salvisa, one son Eddie Bast of Harrodsburg, three brothers: Donnie Bast of Harrodsburg, Connie Bast of Frankfort, and Tony Bast of Salvisa. Three sisters: Betty Olszanski of California, Anita Bottoms of Harrodsburg, and Judy Hurst also of Harrodsburg. One grandson Patrick Bast, one step-grandson Adam Curtsinger, two step-great grandchildren Zachary and Cole Curtsinger all of Harrodsburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by one brother Danny Bast and three sisters: Nora Patterson, Imogene Bast, and Joyce Bast.
