BLONDY RYAN'S MOTHER DIED

Mrs. Loreta E. (Collins) Ryan 71, of 357 Lynfield Street, died at her home yesterday
after a short illness. She was the mother of John "Blondy" Ryan, formerly of the
New York Giants and a sister of Mrs. Joseph Scanlon wife of Lynn's fire chief and of
Leo F. Collins Lynn's sealer of weights and measures.

Born in St. John, N.B. she was the widow of Patrolman Thomas F. Ryan. A resident
of Lynn for about 65 years. Mrs. Ryan attended St. Mary's School. For many years
she served on the Democratic State Committee.

She also leaves a daughter, Miss L. Frances Ryan of Lynn, four sisters Mrs. Isabel
Corcoran, Mrs. Veronica Player and Mrs. Irene Scanlon, all of Lynn and Mrs. Theresa
Riley (s/b Kiley) of Melrose, a brother Leo F. Collins of Lynn and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be from her home Friday at 8 a.m. with a Solemn High Mass of Reguiem
at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, South Lynfield at 9 A.M. Burial will be in
St. Joseph's Cemetery.
